The Reconditioning Process

At Shoez Rule, we refer to any shoe or boot that is not brand new as "reconditioned." Shoez, reconditioned shoes are gently worn shoes that have been thoroughly inspected, cleaned and disinfected. The reconditioning process begins with an inspection of the entire shoe. Our cleaning process or what we refer to as "IOU," begins with the (I)nside of the shoe, then (O)utside and finally (U)nderneath, or the sole of the shoe is cleaned. We make every attempt to clean and restore life back into shoes, which sometimes require us to insert new shoelaces, insoles, remove scuffs, lighten creases and etc. before listing shoes for sale.
